Designer: cracks

PixelAmp picked up a winning design in PixelAmp Game Studio - Logo Design out of 67 submissions. The Winning Design was submitted by cracks for a prize-money of $100

Looking for a creative and inspiring designer to create a fun and memorable company logo for my indie game development company that I am starting (first title expected to ship in March/April 2011). I have tossed some ideas into the attached document (PDF) but essentially I am looking to convey the idea of a company that is aggressively dedicated to developing fun 2D-oriented games.

Thanks everyone for the great concepts. It was really tough to make a final decision. So many great envisionings of the logo.

Cracks, I like the simplicity of your logo but I am struggling with the icon to the left. Can you fill me in on what it is supposed to represent? Maybe I am just not seeing the same thing as you. The addition of the favicon is great. So is the black background.

Peter, the only thing I can think of for #27 is to fan out the signal a bit. I actually like the green a in Amp.

Any other suggestions for design 27?

Color, what is the difference between #43 and #46?

Alright. I'll remove the bar, and add some radio waves coming off, and further work with the design to make it more visually attractive.

For concept #21 I think I would remove the bar. I like how the signal concept has been implemented in some of the other works. Not sure how that would look across the letter A in Amp.

The rest of the font I think is appropriate and the Game Studio text under it sits well.

Sorry I cannot think of anything more explicit to round out the design.

Hello,

I'm glad you like Concept #21. I thought that the bar, would add to the "amplifying" effect. However, if you don't like that, it can be taken out without an issue. If you have any other recommendations for #21, let me know.

Concept 20
I love the gradient of the wave over the letter i in Pixel. Looks great.

I am not sure about the letter x in Pixel being in orange though. Maybe black is the way to go and leave the wave effect in the letter i as being the focus of that word.
The words game studio being in lower case and outlined are great too. I would not change that.

Plus, is it possible to see a glossy vs matte version of the logo? You can see a sample by following the first link in Google when you search for the words glossy text. I would put the URL in here but this site doesn't allow anything standard to be posted.

Example at http://photoshopcandy.com/2006/09/04/the-glossy-text-web20-style/

Concept 21
I like the general flow of this one but I am not so sure about the meter going up alongside the P in pixel.
